MINTEL 2020 WERE VALUED
AT £1.59 billion.
According to the MCA Foodservice Delivery Report 2018, food delivery was worth
£8.1 billion in 2018 (+13.4% year on year) and contributed to 8% of the food
service market. Sixty percent of UK adults are active* delivery users who, on average,
order two times per month and spend £9.47 per head per order. In total, this equates
to 851m meals ordered in 2018, with no signs of slowing.
MCA predicts that the market will be worth £9.8 billion by 2021.
Vegan market growth that keeps on growing. The number of vegans in Great Britain
quadrupled between 2014 and 2019. In 2019 there were 600,000 vegans, or 1.16% of
the population; 276,000 (0.46%) in 2016; and 150,000 (0.25%) in 2014.
